FOOT AND ANKLE RECONSTRUCTION

From our first steps as a toddler to a leisurely stroll in retirement, the artful engineering of our ankles and feet enable us to enjoy an active lifestyle.
Dr Jonck has intimate knowledge of the relevant anatomy, bio-mechanics, pathology and treatment options in the field of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He uses on-site state of the art medical imaging and laboratory services to confirm your diagnosis and offer both non-operative and operative treatment options that are tailored to your individual needs.

LIMB RECONSTRUCTION

Trauma, infection and tumours can cause bone loss which may put a limb at risk of amputation.

Dr. Jonck uses the Ilizarov principles of limb reconstruction in conjunction with state of the art instrumentation to salvage limbs if it seems feasible.

CLUBFOOT

Congenital talipus equino-varus, or Clubfoot, is the most common birth defect with an incidence of between 3 and 8 per 1000 live births.
The Ponseti technique of gentle manipulation and weekly application of a cast until correction is obtained has been proven to be the standard of care.
Dr. Jonck has a vast experience in treating children with this, and other lower limb deformities.
His aim is to provide children with a stable, well aligned, painless foot and ankle - a gift that should last a lifetime!
